The Role

We’re hiring a University Sales / Business Development lead to grow CodeSignal’s higher education partnerships and revenue. You will build pipeline with universities and workforce-oriented institutions, run a consultative sales process, and close institution-wide programs aligned to student success and employability outcomes.

You’ll shape our Higher Ed growth motion-helping institutions deliver measurable skills outcomes for students in a rapidly changing job market.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle sales for Higher Education: prospecting → discovery → solutioning → proposal → procurement → close → launch → expansion.
  • Engage the right stakeholders across universities (continuing ed, academic leadership, departments, innovation, career services, workforce development).
  • Position CodeSignal solutions for university use cases (career readiness, curriculum-aligned practice, competency verification).
  • Coordinate pilots with clear success criteria and pathways to expansion (more students, more programs, campus-wide adoption).
  • Partner closely with Customer Success and Product to ensure smooth onboarding and measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and account plans.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience selling into Higher Education (EdTech/SaaS preferred).
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder groups and procurement cycles.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and executive presence.
  • Comfortable translating outcomes into metrics (adoption, completion, readiness, placement signals, employer engagement).
  • Highly organized; able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LMS/LTI environments and institution-wide deployments.
  • Background in workforce development, career readiness, or employer partnership programs.

The Salary

In accordance with local regulations in jurisdictions where CodeSignal may hire, we are projecting an annual total salary in the range of USD $140,000-$180,000. This range encompasses all seniority levels eligible for this position. Offer packages often contain additional compensation in the form of commission or performance bonuses, equity, and/or benefits such as those listed below. Offers are awarded on an individual basis and are subject to factors such as, without limitation, a candidate’s level of experience, growth trajectory, and local labor market. Employees' compensation is reviewed and adjusted regularly.
