Job Description:

As a JCB Tasting Room Associate, you will create unforgettable experiences for our guests through exceptional service, wine education, and personalized interactions. You'll conduct tastings, lead small group tours, drive retail wine and gift sales, and promote our Wine Club-all while reflecting the luxury and creativity of the JCB brand.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hospitality
•  Welcome guests warmly and guide them through curated wine tastings
•  Educate guests on Boisset wines, winemaking practices, and brand history
•  Assist guests with planning their Sonoma wine country experience
•  Lead tours for both consumer and VIP groups of various sizes
•  Represent the JCB and Boisset brands with professionalism and enthusiasm

Sales & Club Promotion
•  Drive on-site sales of wine and gift merchandise
•  Promote Wine Club memberships, process sign-ups, and provide member support
•  Assist with order fulfillment, packing/shipping, and follow-up

Tasting Room Operations
•  Restock wine, merchandise, and supplies as needed
•  Maintain cleanliness of tasting salon, restrooms, and all guest-facing areas
•  Open and close cash register and accurately handle transactions
•  Prepare tasting areas for daily service and special events

Events & Off-Site Engagement
•  Support in-house and off-site events as a Boisset ambassador
•  Participate in tastings, staff meetings, product seminars, and team trainings
•  Travel for events may be required occasionally (local or regional)

What We're Looking For
•  A friendly, engaging, and polished presence-you love talking with people
•  Proven customer service and/or retail sales experience (wine/hospitality is a plus)
•  Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
•  Passion for wine, storytelling, and luxury hospitality experiences
•  Flexibility to work weekends, events, and variable shifts

Qualifications
•  High School diploma or GED required
•  1-3 months of wine, tasting room, restaurant, or retail experience preferred
•  Must be 21+ and able to obtain/maintain a valid California Food Handler Card
•  Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
•  Basic computer skills (POS systems, spreadsheets, email)

Physical Requirements
•  Ability to stand and walk for long periods
•  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
•  Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments

Schedule & Compensation
•  Part-Time, Seasonal role with variable hours based on seasonal demand.
•  Weekend and holiday availability required
•  Some evening or event shifts may be needed
•  Hourly wage based on experience + potential sales incentives
