Role Overview:

The SEO Specialist will be responsible for optimizing Comfrt’s SEO & GEO strategy to help scale growth and brand awareness. This role will own and execute strategy to drive organic growth across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms. The SEO Specialist will own SEO Strategy while expanding our presence through AEO & GEO ensuring that our brand, products and content are discoverable across Google Search, AI search results, voice assistants and generative platforms. This role will work closely with the marketing, growth, tech & product teams to align on current & upcoming campaigns, promotions & product - aligning with the overall brand strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Own and execute SEO strategy across technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content
  • Conduct keyword research for category pages, collections, PDPs, and editorial content
  • Optimize metadata, headings, internal linking, and content architecture
  • Partner with Merchandising and Content teams to align SEO strategy with seasonal priorities and product launches
  • Monitor and improve site health (crawlability, indexing, site speed, schema, redirects)
  • Support SEO requirements for site updates, migrations, and new feature launches
  • Own manual node creation for SEO-driven category and landing pages
 

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)

  • Optimize content to surface in featured snippets, “People Also Ask,” and voice search results
  • Structure content to clearly answer high-intent customer questions related to products, fit, materials, care, and use cases
  • Implement and maintain structured data (FAQ, Product, How-To, Review schema) to improve answer visibility
  • Collaborate with Content and CX teams to translate common customer questions into search-optimized answers
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce and Merchandising teams to test and optimize on-site & app search keywords, results and agentic findings 
 

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

  • Optimize site content and brand signals to improve visibility within AI-powered and generative search experiences
  • Ensure product, category, and brand content is structured for accurate AI interpretation and citation
  • Support entity optimization (brand, product attributes, materials, sustainability claims, etc.)
  • Monitor how generative platforms reference, summarize, and surface brand content
  • Partner with internal teams to develop content that supports AI discovery while maintaining brand voice and accuracy

     

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track performance across SEO, AEO, and GEO using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs/SEMrush, and internal dashboards
  • Analyze rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversion data to identify opportunities
  • Provide regular reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in Ecommerce, D2C & multi-channel growth 
  • Strong understanding of SEO, GEO & AI-powered success
  • Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with ability to work ahead of schedule
 

Desired Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of Ecommerce SEO fundamentals, including category page and PDP optimization
  • Ability to think beyond traditional SEO and adapt strategies for AEO (featured snippets, FAQs, voice search) and GEO (AI-powered discovery)
  • Experience structuring content to clearly answer customer questions and search intent
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance and turn insights into action
  • Comfortable working with large product catalogs and seasonal merchandising cycles
  • Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, and content hierarchy best practices
  • Strong collaboration skills across Ecommerce, Content, Merchandising, and Tech teams
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to stay ahead of search and AI platform trends
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a strong sense of prioritization and impact
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced ecommerce environment
  • Passion for apparel, fashion, or consumer brands is a plus !

This role is open to remote candidates in multiple U.S. states. The salary range for this position is $70,000–$90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
