Looking to hire a Process Operator to support DMTA Unit Operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for all process control within assigned area. Analyzes routine operating and analytical problems, exercises judgment, and takes appropriate action. Initiates corrective action for substandard performance in processes/equipment. **During your 12-hour shift as a Process Operator, you will** + Monitor DCS and maintain control of process as well as receive and act upon supervisor instructions. + Notify supervisor of abnormalities and corrective measures taken. Maintain the status of assigned area including work requests, lists for overhauls and shutdowns through verbal communication and written logs. Ensure satisfactory housekeeping and communicate status of assigned area to relief. + Maintain thorough knowledge of all equipment and operations, especially procedures for emergency shutdown and start-up and coordinate efforts with operating personnel in related functions including assisting other operators in their areas and assisting in training of other operators. + Coordinate mechanical activities in assigned area including: clearing and tagging equipment prior to mechanical work, following job progress, and accepting equipment upon completion of work. Complete job walks and issue work permits to ensure safe work. + Maintain control of process. Catch samples for laboratory testing. Receive, interpret and act upon analytical results to keep process within parameters and maintain daily log on waste storage areas, maintaining daily record of leaks until repaired, react immediately to any leaks or spills and report to supervisor as soon as possible. **If you have...** + High school diploma or GED + 2 years of experience in manufacturing or production + Prior DCS Board Operations experience. + Previous chemical operation experience. + Experience performing production mathematical calculations as a part of a daily routine. **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
