PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Approve, release and monitor status of production and purchase requisitions.
- Develop and provide input to Manufacturing build plan.
- Develop priorities and communicate support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.
- Coordinate with all shop departments to ensure proper inventory levels - maintain knowledge of plant operations and equipment design in order to plan properly.
- Review and release work orders per the system demand, manage the system recommended messages, as well as maintain work order dates that adhere to the metrics for the organization.
- Periodically review non-conformances and engineering changes to rework any work orders as required.
- Regularly update work order due dates based on fluctuations in in-house capacity and the delivery schedules from vendors.
- Keep Planning manager aware about applicable changes that would affect the lead time of the part so that the system can be kept up-to-date.
- Regularly monitor and update safety stock levels in the system when necessary.
- Create/ Modify shop work Routers.
- Verify Proper Closure of workorders after repair is complete.
- Communicate with CRR on job status and workflow.
- Provide quality service by following organization standards.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Higher education degree desirable.
- 3-5 years' experience, or equivalent knowledge/education preferable in:
- Manufacturing environment; Planning; Project Management (CAPM/ PMP certified).
- Product Specific Knowledge for each Department preferable (BOPs, Top Drives, Motion Compensation, Rig Floor Equipment, etc.).
- Computer proficiency required - Must have heavy experience with Microsoft Excel.
- ERP experience preferred - must have the ability to learn different programs.
- Some mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints and drawings preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Must have flexible availability (overtime and weekends may be required).
- Must be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- Ability to meet or exceed standards as established by the department.
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities. Self-motivated.
