Job Title: Powder Coater

Location: Holland, MI

Shift: 7am-5:30pm OR 5am-3:30pm

Pay: $18-20/hr

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coating materials to metal parts using spray guns and curing ovens, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets production standards. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and clean metal surfaces for powder coating (e.g., sandblasting, degreasing, masking)
• Apply powder coatings using manual or automated spray guns in a paint booth
• Operate curing ovens and monitor proper temperature and timing
• Inspect coated parts for coverage, thickness, and finish quality
• Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Record production data and complete documentation as needed
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferred
• Familiarity with powder coating equipment and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and instructions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
