Part-Time Housekeeper & Household Assistant  (Long-Term Opportunity)

Our wonderful clients in Missouri City are a young professional couple seeking a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper and Household Assistant to support their busy family. This year, they welcomed their first child and are looking for a long-term professional who can help maintain their new home and eventually grow with the family. The ideal candidate for this family would be caring, communicative, and thorough.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday and Thursday

  • Hours: Approximately 3-4 hours each day (total of 6-8 hours per week)

  • Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour, based on experience

  • Start Date: ASAP- Mid December 2025

  • Setting: Private, professional family home with two small, friendly dogs. One parent works remotely/hybrid and will be in her home office during work hours.

Core Responsibilities

This role focuses primarily on general household tidying, laundry management, and organizational projects, with monthly deep cleaning.

Daily & Weekly Duties (Focus: Tidiness and Organization)
  • Laundry Management: Washing, drying, folding, and putting away all household laundry (clothing, linens, towels).

  • Clothing Organization: Organizing and maintaining closets, drawers, and changing table areas.

  • Kitchen Tidying: Wiping down kitchen counters and surfaces, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and maintaining general kitchen cleanliness.

  • Organizational Projects: Assisting with various ongoing organizational tasks throughout the home (e.g., sorting toys, organizing pantry/cabinets).

  • General Tidy-Up: Maintaining a tidy appearance in common areas and bedrooms. Weekly washing and changing of all bedroom linens.

Monthly Deep Cleaning Duties
  • Baseboard Cleaning: Wiping down and dusting all baseboards.

  • Detailed Dusting: Thorough dusting of all surfaces, light fixtures, and decorative items.

  • Guest Bathroom Cleaning: Complete deep cleaning of the guest bathroom.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Proven experience working in a private household with a focus on organization, laundry, and deep cleaning.

  • Attributes: Highly communicative, extremely reliable and punctual, takes initiative, and has a strong attention to detail.

  • Pet Comfort: Must be completely comfortable around friendly, small dogs.

  • Adaptability: Must be comfortable with the long-term potential for the role to evolve and for hours/duties to expand as the family grows.

  • Desired Plus: Experience with childcare, infants, or toddlers is a significant bonus for future growth opportunities within the role.
