Kitchen Director Responsibilities:

  • Model the company's Purpose, Vision and Values 100% of the time; engage and inspire Team Members to do the same
  • Lead and achieve performance goals in the areas of Customer Satisfaction, Team Member Engagement, Store Sales & Profitability, Food Cost, and Food Safety
  • Partner with the General Manager to consistently deliver exceptional Food Safety Scores
  • Hire, onboard, train, and execute performance management system with all Kitchen Team Members
  • Develop and deliver professional development plans for Kitchen Team Leaders
  • Effective schedule writing - balancing operational and team member needs with articulated labor and productivity targets
  • Open and close the restaurant as Team Leader when needed
  • Serve the Team and restaurant guests operationally (on shift) during peak hours
  • Oversee the execution of social, promotional, and calibration training calendar events and ensures communication of these events to every Kitchen Member
  • Oversee truck orders, inventory management systems, product transfers and credits
  • Participate in the End of Month inventory and closeout processes
  • Engage in proactive, thorough, and encouraging communication with ALL Team Members regarding food quality, customer experience, and any relevant operational factors in real time.
  • Communicate accurate and timely knowledge of important information related to all areas of the restaurant to the Kitchen Team
  • Prepare, facilitate, and participate in scheduled meetings as required.

  • The ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
  • The ability to work a full-time, variable schedule according to the needs of the business; must be available to open and/or close when needed
  • The ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods of time
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 50bs on a regular basis
  • Active ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Prior experience as a Chick-fil-A Kitchen team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
