Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 3rd Shift: 10PM - 7:30AM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $19.50 / hour 

Job Summary:

We’re hiring an experienced Forklift Operator to safely operate a Cherry Picker and assist in the accurate picking of wine orders within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and familiar with handling fragile products in a fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a Cherry Picker forklift to retrieve wine cases and products from elevated racks
• Pick customer orders with accuracy and care to prevent breakage or damage
• Safely load and unload pallets, cases, and individual items from storage or shipping areas
• Follow warehouse safety protocols and equipment operating procedures at all times
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Maintain organized staging areas for outgoing orders and completed picks
• Assist in wrapping, labeling, and preparing pallets for shipment
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure fulfillment accuracy
• Keep aisles, pick areas, and equipment clean and hazard-free
• Support general warehouse tasks as needed, including restocking and inventory checks

Job Requirements:

• Experience operating a Cherry Picker forklift in a warehouse environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle fragile goods with care
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Must be safety-conscious and capable of following established SOPs
• Prior experience in beverage, wine, or alcohol distribution is a plus
