Responsibilities

Responsible for concurrent review of clinical documentation and query of the physicians residents and other care givers as necessary via prompters/verbal communication to obtain accurate and complete documentation charge entry and/or charge code which appropriately supports the severity of illness the intensity of service and a complete and accurate encounter.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• 2 years acute care or ambulatory experience required
• 2 years coding experience required
• Strong pathophysiology and disease management background with understanding of elements of disease processes and related procedures required
