Drive Your Day: A Look Inside the Role

Your morning starts at our Mobile, AL 36608 hub. You review your route, complete a thorough pre-trip inspection, and roll out on time. On the road, you keep safety first—observing all traffic laws, staying in close contact with dispatch, and updating customers when needed. At each stop, you handle cargo carefully, secure it properly, and deliver with a professional, customer-first approach. Before heading home, you wrap up with a post-trip inspection and accurate logs.

What You’ll Handle

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to move freight between locations safely and efficiently.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is compliant and road-ready.
• Keep precise records of drive time, mileage, and fuel according to all applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatch and communicate proactively with customers about timing and any delays.
• Follow all traffic rules and DOT requirements at every stage of the route.
• Load and unload, verify counts, and secure materials for safe transport.
• Deliver with courtesy, address questions on-site, and represent the company professionally.
• Participate in routine training and safety meetings to continuously improve skills.

What You Bring

• Active Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Solid command of DOT regulations and safety best practices.
• Comfort operating a range of tractors and trailers.
• Clear, professional communication and customer service skills.
• Keen attention to detail and practical problem-solving ability.
• Capability to lift heavy items and handle physical tasks as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Proficiencies

• DOT Medical Card
• Current CDL License
