Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Marijuana Budtender to join our team. In this role, you will create a welcoming and informed environment, helping customers navigate our extensive selection of over 1,500 rigorously tested products. You will also play a vital role in promoting our mission-driven approach, championing women-owned, veteran-led, and BIPOC brands, and contributing to the vibrant cannabis culture of NYC. Duties:

  • Assist customers in selecting the right cannabis products based on their needs and preferences.
  • Provide product demonstrations and educate customers about various strains, consumption methods, and effects.
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for processing transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing display through effective merchandising techniques.
  • Stock shelves with products and ensure inventory is accurately tracked and managed.
  • Handle cash transactions responsibly while adhering to cash handling procedures.
  • Upsell products by effectively communicating their benefits and features to customers.
  • Supervise junior staff members, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Basic skills in desktop support and image editing
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Experience with supervising staff is a plus.
