Behavioral Health Technician – Evening and Overnight Shift Freedom Detox | Gastonia, NC
$17.00/hour + $1.50 shift differential

Freedom Detox, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking a
Full-Time Evening and Overnight Behavioral Health Technician to join our dedicated team in Gastonia, NC. This direct care role is essential in supporting clients through detox and recovery in a safe, structured, and compassionate environment.
What You’ll Do
- Complete intake process for new clients entering the program
- Maintain accurate and timely client documentation
- Observe and document client self-administration of medications as applicable
- Provide client transportation and supervise during transport
- Support treatment goals by following individualized care plans
- Monitor client activities and provide crisis intervention when needed
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Assist with dietary needs and coordination of daily activities
- Uphold therapeutic boundaries and staff code of ethics
- Complete required trainings and certifications
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior behavioral health or healthcare experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in crisis situations
- Knowledge of federal/state standards and compliance guidelines a plus
