Admissions Director
Our mission is to offer quality care to our residents, and to provide for them a loving and compassionate environment, attending carefully to their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate inquiry and admission processes in order to assure resident and family satisfaction. This person will also represent the facility in a positive manner throughout the community, and to balance the census population according to budgetary needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates the inquiry process, referral process, and the admission process as well as completing necessary paperwork related to each process.
Informed of Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance guidelines as pertains to the position.
Assists the Director of Corporate Communications and Administrator in preparing and implementing marketing goals and objectives.
Maintains contact with current referral sources while working to develop new sources of referrals.
Communicates effectively with the Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office regarding bed availability.
Evaluates referrals to determine admission candidacy, including visiting referrals at home or involved with community agency as appropriate.
Plans and conducts tours, luncheons, seminars, and other special programs for referral groups.
Maintain close contact with all referral sources. Notify hospitals of bed availability on regular basis.
Acts as contact for the Social Services Department when the designated social worker is absent fills in for social worker duties as appropriately qualified to handle.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
A graduate of an accredited high school or GED required.
BS degree in marketing, social work, or human sciences preferred.
Previous admissions experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
